Google’s Chrome browser

Although Google’s Chrome browser includes many impressive privacy features like its Incognito mode, many web users are still concerned with Google’s data collection policies. In true Google fashion, it has built a tracking feature into Chrome that allows the search giant to know exactly how people are using its browser.

A German software company called SRWare has come up with a solution to the Google tracking feature. They have created a new browser dubbed ”Iron” that is essentially Chrome without any of Google’s tracking capabilities. With the Iron browser:
# There is no unique user-ID
# No user-specific information is sent to Google
# No alternative error messages
# Crash information is not sent to Google
# Google updater is eliminated

If you are concerned with the potential for Google to track your usage, but are a fan of the Chrome browser, download Iron and give it a try.
